=​ Operatic Pop Tenor Lim Hyung-joo Commissioned as A-WEB PR Ambassador and NEC Advisor  = 

The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) held a ceremony to appoint an A-WEB public relations ambassador at the Korea Civic Education Institute for Democracy in Suwon at 3pm on July 5, where world-renowned operatic pop tenor Lim Hyung-joo (Honorary Professor, Vocal Department of the Civica Scuola delle Arti, Rome) was commissioned as A-WEB’s first ever ambassador.

LIm Hyung-joo was named by CNN iReport as one of ‘three great pop tenors and he was the first Korean to perform at all three venues at the Carnegie Hall in New York. He has an excellent reputation representing Korea as an operatic pop tenor and has received recognition from around the world, including being the youngest artist to win the U.S. Presidential Culture Award during the Obama presidency.

Lim Hyung-ju, who has made various social contributions both at home and abroad, plans to carry out public relations   as ambassador for A-WEB in order to promote world democracy and spread the advanced election system of the Republic of Korea.

A-WEB is the largest organization of election bodies in the world, and its foundation was initiated by the NEC back in 2013.  

A-WEB is currently made up of 106 election agencies from 102 countries and is undertaking various activities such as exchanging information among member countries and helping to develop the election system in transitional countries for the purpose of spreading democracy around the world.

Lim was also appointed as the youngest member of the National Election Commission Advisory Committee composed of specialists from all walks of life, and in this role he will advise on the creation of a clean and transparent election culture.
