Election Campaigns Begin from April 17, 15 Candidates Registered

= Campaigning on the internet, by email or by text message now allowed on election day  =

The National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea announced that anyone who can is allowed to take part in election campaigning will be free to do so from April 17 to May 8.

However, those forbidden to take part in election campaigns according to the Public Official Election Law such as non-Korean citizens, minors, or public officials, or those who restricted from campaigning by other laws may not campaign. 

In addition, from this election, internet, e-mail and text message election campaigning will be possible on election day, and posting photos of yourself with either a thumb or a v-sign to prove you have voted on social media will now be allowed.
