Provide support to the intraparty election of Democratic Party leaders

The National Election Commission provided support to voting and ballot counting of the intraparty election of Democratic Party leaders, which was held at Incheon Munhak Stadium (3 October 2010). 

The election was conducted by using a form of electronic voting, which embraces both electronic means of casting a vote and electronic means of counting votes. NEC assisted this e-voting by providing 118 NEC staff members and 120 touch screen machines.

In the election, about 12,000 delegates cast their votes, and ‘one-person two vote system’ was adopted.

The elected leaders are as follows;

·President: Sohn, Hak-kyu

·Executive Committee members: Chung, Dong-young/ Chung, Sye-kyun / Lee, In –young /

                                             Chun, Jung-bae / Park, Joo-sun
