| Entrusted Election for the Convention of the Liberty Forward Party |

The National Election Commission of Korea (NEC) carried out entrusted election of internal party competition for the Liberty Forward Party (LFP) in the Fencing Stadium for Olympic Games on March 17, 2010. Hoi Chang LEE, the former president of the LFP, was elected as the leader of the LFP along with five chief representatives in the competition. The involvement of NEC in the convention is based on the electoral law and political party’s decision. The Public Official Election Act stipulates that the NEC administers internal party competition when a party entrusts. The LFP had requested the NEC to manage the competition to elect the party leader and the members of caucus by running electronic voting system. The NEC offers e-voting service based on the touch screen system which is composed of voter identification terminal, touch screen voting machine, ballot counting system and ballot verification system. The number of delegates to register voters list for the competition was approximately 2,000 and the voting and counting were completed swiftly thanks to the electronic voting system.
