KOCEI Conducts Training for Party Officials Working in the Cyber Field and Internet Media = Training centered on forms of cyber election campaigning and unfair internet reporting =
The Korean Center for Civic Education for Democracy (KOCEI) conducted training focused on cyber election campaigning and unfair Internet media reports on February 13 and 14.
The training course named Cyber Election Campaigning and Avoiding Damages from Unfair Internet Reporting was held on February 13 at the National Assembly (Conference Room 8) and was for party officials working in the cyber field. Meanwhile a training course named Cyber Election Campaigning and Fair Media Reporting was held on February 14 at KOCEI for those working in the internet media.
This training was organized in accordance with recent unfair media reporting related to the 19th presidential election, including the distribution of ‘fake news,’ in order to inform political parties about how to avoid damages from unfair media reporting and give information to those working in the internet media on fair reporting.
This training consisted of explaining regulations regarding Internet campaigning, discussing the way political parties can avoid damage from unfair reporting centered on recent cases of internet media reporting and ensuring internet media understand the importance of fair reporting.
