Overseas Voting Preparation, including Completion of the Voters List, Proceeding without Disruption

March 5 to 9 voters list open to the public to raise objections, March 14 final confirmation of the voters list, March 30 to April 4 overseas voting period

The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea compiled the voters list for oversees voting in the 20th National Assembly elections according to the legal deadline of March 4 as expected.

During that time, the NEC was foreseeing some difficulties due to the delay in the delimitation of the election boundaries, but overseas voting preparation, including completion of the voters list, has proceeded without disruption, since as of March 3 the revised Public Official Election Act containing the confirmed delimitation of the election boundaries.

The NEC announced that it has made exhaustive preparations, including preparing measures for the changes in the election districts according to the boundary delimitation, and will enforce the law and promptly carry out any modifications or additions to the voters list quickly and accurately as well as completing the remaining management without shortcomings.

The overseas voters list will be open to the public to view and raise objections and will go through the process of registering any omitted persons before being finally confirmed on March 14.

The NEC requests that any voters that are not on the voters list check with the NEC or the registration list of their local Gu/Si/Gun office during the viewing period in order to ensure they can vote.
