The National Election Commission announced that Gu/Si/Gun election commissions sent out campaign literatures of candidates and voting guidance leaflets for the 19^th National Assembly elections to households by mail. The candidates had submitted campaign literatures. The voting guidance leaflets include the information on the names of voters, registration numbers on the voters list, and locations of polling stations, etc.

The NEC has supervised the mailing process thoroughly to make sure that no campaign literature of any candidates is omitted. In addition, it asked related authorities including the Korea Post to cooperate for the accurate and swift delivery of the mails.

It is expected that the mails will reach households before April 6 considering that the delivery generally takes one or two days.

The NEC called upon the voters to keep in mind that taking others’ mails is subject to punishment under the Public Official Election Act. It also added that if the mails are not delivered properly, voters may contact the toll free number 1390 or visit the website of the NEC (http://party.nec.go.kr) to check the campaign literatures of the candidates.
