Candidates’ Posters to Be Post Up Nationwide from March 29

Date :04/16/2012Read : 403

The National Election Commission announced that the posters submitted by the candidates for the 19th National Assembly elections would be post up from March 29.

The posters the candidates have submitted by the deadline are scheduled to be post up by March 30 in the districts concerned in order of the number assigned to each candidate.

The posters contain the photos, careers and educational backgrounds of candidates as well as other information necessary for promotion. Those posters are therefore expected to enable voters to easily compare in the street candidates who run for the elections in their local districts.

In case of false information on candidates’ careers and educational backgrounds being found, anyone may lodge an appeal to the election commissions in the districts concerned.

The NEC kindly requested not to tear, spoil, scribble on or remove posters as this kind of vandalism may lead to imprisonment or a fine of less than 4 million Korean won.
