Korea carries out the by-elections twice a year, the first and the second half year respectively, according to the election law. The by-elections in the first half of 2010 will be implemented in July 28, 2010. Up to 15 June 2010, eight by-elections are expected to be held to fill up the vacancies in the National Assembly due to resignation and death.
