Voting Guides Sent out for the 18th Presidential Election

Date :12/17/2012Read : 313

The National Election Commission announced that campaign leaflets and voting guides had been mailed out to each household for the 18th Presidential Election.

The campaign leaflets sent by Gu/Si/Gun election commissions include such information as a voter’s name, registration number, location of polling station, how to vote, voting hours, etc.

Given that election mail delivery normally takes a day or two, it is expected that each household would have received campaign leaflets and voting guides by December 15 at the latest.

The NEC has advised the public not to take election-related mail in someone else’s mail box as it may bring about penalties according to the law.

Meanwhile, the NEC is planning to provide the ‘Find My Polling Station’ service from December 13 through the NEC’s website and the major Internet portals.

Especially, the NEC is going to provide service through the 1390 ARS which will help voters to find polling stations in their resident registration places.

The NEC has kindly requested voters to cast their ballots and read through the voting guides sent by the election commissions before visiting polling stations to vote.
