| 10 Major Policies to Realize Policy-oriented Presidential Election |

The National Election Commission is scheduled to establish 10 major policies for the 18th Presidential Election to realize a policy-oriented election, starting with intra-party primaries for the presidential election. The NEC is also due to provide these policies to each political party and pre-candidate. The 10 major policies have been commissioned by the Korean Association of Party Studies and presented after 3 examinations by Delphi. The policies are dominantly about ‘Relieving Social Bipolarization Due to Imbalance of Incomes” and “Creation of Jobs”. The presented policies for the presidential election will be prioritized, including the results of policy demand survey of voters and will be finalized around the end of September. The NEC will hold a ‘Manifesto Session for the 18th Presidential Election’ on August 22. At this session, the NEC will explain policies to policy-related persons for each political party or candidate. The NEC will also discuss details about how and when to inform voters of information on candidates’ platforms. |
