| Training for Those in Charge of Overseas Voting at the 106 Overseas Missions |

The training was provided to enhance expertise of the officials in charge of overseas voting and to improve their ability to carry out practical work, particularly in connection with the ‘overseas voting information system’. The main contents of the training are: ∙Directions to manage overseas voting; ∙Overall process of practical overseas voting management; ∙How to deal with the work related to mock overseas voting; ∙Practice of establishing and operating the overseas voting information system; ∙Practice of establishing and operating overseas voting stations, and sending marked and sealed ballot papers to Korea; ∙Various ways to enhance public awareness and promotion about overseas voting; and ∙Preventive measures against the violation of the election laws The NEC said that the training provided an opportunity to prepare for the 2nd mock overseas voting (scheduled to start on May 27), and the presidential and National Assembly elections next year. In addition, the training is expected to enhance the practical capability of the officials in charge of overseas voting to conduct elections more efficiently. |
